During the Centre for Fortean Zoology's 2005 Mongolia expedition the team (Richard Freeman, Dr Chris Clark, Jon Hare and David Churchill) encountered a natural wonder in the desert. A permanently frozen river, complete with caves and fissures where the water had run underneath it.
